Wall of the minds
Rambling thoughts chatter
Unending....
Dizzing August moods
shunted by smears and polka dots
Blue on my shoe
Where would I be without you
Here, maybe there or everywhere
Strokes mentering with a skyline
across the canvas with a shaky hand
v-line feathered wings
friends of the wetlands
racing by in formation
Blue on my shoe
where would I be without you
here maybe there or everywhere

DANCER
Fiddles and flutes
Stocking feet and hooded head
imitating swooping crane
Flight dancing and playing
Wrinkles and crinkles
Petals under sheeps' wool
Leaves dangle
Thorns prickle
Eyelids mingle
Diddle daddle
Fiddles and flutes
Naughty winkle
Shell in a pickle

MISTY
A wonder of a miracle
Icicles delicately adorn
mighty blue spruce
Tracks of my footprints unseen
So cold the air, thin and crisp
Not a sound from the wild
As if time suspended forever
Midday sun shines brightly
Where shadows was once
no more follows
So lonely, so lonely to be alone
This place so vast
with promises of happiness and endless life
Beyond mountains my eyes see
Where streams meet, my feet dances
humming tunes I remember
So lonely, so lonely to be alone

POCKET FULL
Bustin at the seams
Everythin I need so it seems
My mommy said
Always make room
and plenty of
Kerchief she handmade
just for my nose
Shoelaces just in case
the first ones wore out
Comb for my hair
When the wind suddenly rushes by
Mirror from her purse
to see how beautiful I am
Hmmm...Lollipop!
Simply when I'm wantin sweets
Everythin I need so it seems
I forgot! Daddy's letter
My mommy said
If you are missin daddy close your eyes
and you will see him
That's what my mommy said!

PLUMERIA IN HER HAIR

Where palm trees sway
Against easterly winds
Fruits fall carried away by emerald water
Kissing rocks
Crowning the shores of white sand
So near the moon hovers
Picturesque silhouette plays
Upon coral of fire
Eyes
Depths in that darkness of the trench
Starfish beneath her tail
Swoon in spinning attraction
While dolphins clicking tales
of battles won and battles lost

Based on the tale of "Sirena" half female/fish
Plumeria is a local flowering tree with a nice scent
The picture inserted is just that

BROKEN SPIRIT
If I must wipe it away
But again it falls
Empty pages, blank pages
My mind keeps searching and wondering
If someday we'd be together again

THE BURDEN OF LOVE
Down low my head bows
Eyes closed
Tears escapes
Lips softly smiles
Where... twig of life has it gone
Struggles dwindle
Time makes no mistakes
Only those who forsakes
Into the universe I reached
My home, free to roam
Dark but the twinkling of stars
guide me
Where... twig of life has it gone

WINTRY ROSE
Reflections on icy pond
Frail hands intertwine on hollow chest
Embraces the calm of the night
A child maiden of winter
Dances with gentle grace
As flush cheeks glow with a shy smile
and her feet light on sheet of ice
Misty dark eyes
turn to gaze at midnight blue sky
Sending a wish as she kisses
the palm of her hand and blows
towards the stars
Winters come winters past
Within the shadows you remain
Wintry Rose, my beautiful Wintry Rose

CRUMPETS ON LINEN
beauty and perfection
laid gently on embroidered linen
Pink on white rosebuds
adorn the edges in silken thread
A designer without a sketch pad
but eyes that possess imagination
The crumbs that fall
fall in a pattern not to be wasted
As heavenly aromatic apples
melt with buttery smoothness
Fulfilling the palates of friends
While laughter
breaks the moment of silence
with highest compliments

THROW A KISS
to do her command
Playful winds carried me
with great reluctance
So I can place this gift
on your warm lips
Goodnight my King, Goodnight
This poem I wrote June 2006 and Published the same year in December. Twice receiving a "Editors Choice Award".
